Although I am a teacher of Nepali subject, I came to teach in a section of class 10 at the beginning of the academic session last year because the teacher of 'Social Studies' was absent.

While looking at the textbook, I came across lesson 4 (page 16) entitled 'Our National Pride' under 'We and Our Society' in Unit One. It was written there at the beginning:

'This Nepalese head is high in the world.

This letter composed by National Poet Madhav Ghimire has reflected Nepali's glorious Veergatha...' The creator of this line that plays as a

song is not National Poet Madhav Ghimire but the famous poet Bhupi Sherchan. The poems of Sherchan, who has the ability to compose very poignant poems using symbols and images, are kept in our schools from the small classes to the big classes. In the era of AI, it is now common to get information about anything in the world. Some theories, philosophies, opinions are also disputed. Arguments can be made about things that are yet to be confirmed by scientific research. If there is a strange information about a strange country in the world, it may not be believed by those who hear it for the first time. But how the experts of the Curriculum Development Center did not know about the works of the most popular poet of our country, which is known to the general reader! I was surprised. I also wanted to give verbal suggestions to the Curriculum Development Center immediately. But I thought, 'This subject is taught in government schools across the country. There are many expert gurus. After their suggestion, Curriculum Development Center will correct the mistake by using different means of communication. Why hurry me!' But this error seen in the first edition in 2080 is still the same in the reprint of 2081. This is not too much! Hopefully, the Curriculum Development Center will pay immediate attention in this regard.
