When will agriculture in Nepal become a respectable and respected profession? Even though the country's economy is in critical condition day by day due to the import of agricultural products, the government has never been serious about why the youth or anyone does not want to be involved in agriculture. By giving priority to imports in every sector, the state has forced the youth to go abroad.

By giving priority to imports in every sector, the state has forced the youth to go abroad.
Annually, despite introducing a new program to attract young people to agriculture, it has not been able to attract young people to agriculture, nor has it been able to increase agricultural production. It is well-known that even though the Prime Minister announced the pocket areas of production through the Agriculture Modernization Program, no new achievements have been seen. Similarly, in the new policy and program, it is tried to introduce youth targeted products through a pilot project, this is definitely not a program that will bring a revolution in agriculture. It cannot be said that we will not be confused by the results of the pilot project tomorrow. It was not known whether the time of production was not agreed or whether it was not planned to produce at all or where there is a reporting agency to remind the farmers.
Due to the lack of foresight of the government, the young people involved in the Zenten agricultural business have also been forced to migrate abroad. No matter how much the government talks about subsidized agricultural loans for enterprise business, the banks have not disbursed even 5 percent agricultural loans. No one listens to its complaints. Even if the real farmer does not have agricultural credit. Loans are available at 6/7 percent interest for buying a car or other work, but for agricultural work, more interest is charged.
