During the Rana period, the Singha Darbar was built at a great expense for Ace comfort. After the Rana rule ended in 2007, it was introduced by the royal government.
Due to the large size, type and capacity of the Singha Darbar, the building came to be known as the largest secretariat in Asia for a long time. At that time, the fame of Singha Darbar was not spread across the country like it is now.
After the establishment of democracy, as the propaganda of everything increased, the colors of those who ruled the country by sitting at the center began to be seen. Those in power who were attracted by Rana period rituals could not stay away from the character of the ruler after entering the Singha Darbar. As the ruler or leader needed more material facilities, a large part of the annual budget began to be spent on the upkeep of the ruler and the comfort of the leader. It is no exaggeration to say that the character of taking possession of resources, thinking of big government buildings as his grandfather and causing trouble, not breaking ties in the name of development, abusing others without doing work, giving instructions, and enjoying the narrow notion that he becomes a big man if he can sit with his hands tied is not an exaggeration.
After the promulgation of the constitution of 2072, the influence of the center is increasing in all 753 municipalities. It is well known that most of the municipalities and ward heads emphasize on building and other construction works rather than the basic development work. Those who read the news about the scam of more than 10 billion rupees at Pokhara International Airport can imagine how much corruption there is in lion palaces across the country. After the luxurious palaces were built in the capital for the state chiefs, it is clear that the mentality of the responsible leaders who consider the valley as Nepal has changed. Even if the rulers of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Pradesh did not move from their places until the big buildings were built in Bhaluwang and Godavari, can't it be considered that the ghost of Rana rule and Singhadbar is riding on them? As long as the ruler does not move forward with a vision of the distant future, the country will continue to be trapped in the mire of poverty, and it will continue to be tickled in front of the world in a Magante style.
