Tribhuvan University Vice Chancellor Kesharjung Baral recently resigned from his post. The main reason for his resignation was that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli did not cooperate.
He has made allegations such as not allowing the university's policy and program to be submitted to the senate, interfering in the appointment of the dean, forcing them to build a cricket stadium at the place where lectures are held. Which seems to be factual, not baseless.
Earlier, when Oli was the Prime Minister, he not only stopped the then Vice-Chancellor of Sanskrit University from going to a program held abroad, but after reaching the airport, he called the police back after insulting him. He could do that even after he came back from abroad. But Oli did not show even the least sympathy.
Similarly, Oli never looked favorably on Kulman Ghising, who is considered an activist of light and who has shown good work and results. He wanted Kulman not to collect the fees of the entrepreneurs who did not pay the fees. But when Kulman refused, he placed a gun on Energy Minister Deepak Khadka's shoulder and opened fire. These are just a few examples. Oli has done hundreds of such works, which have haunted the intellectual world of Nepal. However, since there is no organized group to speak in favor of intelligent people, Oli has been treating everyone in the same way. This process has not stopped.
Oli also did the work of giving illegal constitutional appointments to 52 people he likes and dissolving the parliament itself when their parliamentary hearings were about to begin. Oli does not like other good self-respecting intelligent people apart from clapping in praise!
Let's find a new place outside the campus of Trivi Kirtipur and build a stadium. Let's not make the world laugh by building a stadium in the place of education.
