The decision to remove Ghising is completely wrong

The decision of the Council of Ministers to remove Kulman Ghising, the leader who made Nepal load-shedding free, made radical changes in the electricity sector and moved Nepal towards energy self-sufficiency, is wrong.

This decision seems to be in line with the plan to push the country back into darkness. The government's move to remove the person who lightened Nepal by ending load shedding has clearly exposed the game of middlemen in the energy sector.

Energy Minister Deepak Khadka has already made several attempts to show the failure of the Electricity Authority under the leadership of Ghising. He spread rumors of load-shedding, blocked electricity imports unnecessarily and made unethical statements like crediting Nepal's hydropower success to India. This not only reflected the inaction within the government, but also the influence of middlemen. It is reprehensible that a minister who is involved in a controversy such as the land grabbing of a scout, tries to fulfill his own interests by removing a skilled leader.

This decision seems to be under the patronage of the ruling parties. It is very regrettable that Prime Minister Oli and Deuba have given silent support to such a controversial decision. At a time when the people are trusting and demanding the continuation of the leader who brought revolution in the country's energy sector, this decision of the government indicates that the energy sector is being controlled by mafias again.

People should understand this decision not only as the removal of Kulman Ghising but as a conspiracy to bring back load shedding and rampant corruption. If the government is not aware, there may be a situation where the people will have to protest on the streets. This wrong decision in the energy sector must be withdrawn immediately. Otherwise, the government will be forced to face serious public outrage.
