The election held on Tuesday for the selection of the leadership of Swaviyu in the official and affiliated campuses of Tribhuvan University has attracted the attention of many.

25 student organizations affiliated to political parties and groups of independent students participated in the current election. From the

election, the president, secretary, treasurer and some members were elected directly and some members including the vice president and joint secretary were elected according to the proportional election system. According to the election guidelines, there will be 11 members in campuses with up to 200 students, 15 members for 200 to 1,000 students, 19 members for 1,000 to 3,000 students and 21 members for more than that.
Although there is such a good provision for the election of office bearers, the number of student organizations has increased rapidly since 2063 due to selfish politicians, parties have made the SWU election a matter of their prestige, students devoted to their party have not hesitated to stir up trouble after seeing their party defeated, there has been little criticism of the context.

We are not unaware of the fact that after the establishment of democracy, the bitterness among the students has increased because of the leaders, and the student leadership has not followed behind to do destructive and lock-out actions, attacking the dignity of education. The negative impact of which was also seen in the Swabiyu elections this time.
