Another surprising fact related to the MCC agreement, which is the subject of debate in Nepal's political circles, has come out - 5.76 billion rupees have already been spent before the project was formally implemented.

How, who spent this money? No transparent details have been made public. This is sheer fraud and scam in the name of development. What is the real intention of those who attack the taxes of the Nepali people so brutally?

How billions of funds were spent before the MCC project was implemented is mysterious in itself. On what basis, how and why was it spent? Has construction already started? Are the infrastructures in place? According to the old trend, consultancy, administrative expenses and other funds have run out? Who is the owner of this money if the money goes without work? Who will account for it?

The government has not yet released detailed details of the expenditure. So, was this sum eaten by a ghost or was it digested by someone? Isn't the game of the new commission played by smearing the name of MCC? If the money is actually spent on development, why is there no tangible achievement? Why is the government trying to cover up this issue? Why was there no discussion in Parliament?

It is not a mockery of the rule of law to rob billions of people's taxes. It makes more sense for the government and related agencies to remain silent on this matter. If the account of this money is not made public, then one has to question whether there is a government in this country. People are now aware, the country cannot be looted, people's sweat money cannot be digested.

The government should immediately publish the full details of the expenditure. If irregularities are found, the guilty should be brought to justice. No one is allowed to rob Nepal.
