Leopards have started appearing in Sipadol in Bhaktapur for about a week. This problem has recently started again. Before this, a few years ago, such a problem was heard.
Due to this problem, the local residents are worried and forced to stay with their doors closed while the sun is shining.
Due to the winter months, it is dark even at 6 in the morning, due to which even the college going students are forced to wait for the bus in Dreadar. Parents are also scared to send their children to college early in the morning because of the lonely roads, dark environment and fear of tigers. Despite being close to the city, many domesticated animals are raised in Sipadol due to its rural atmosphere. Such houses face more fear of tigers. Just a few months ago, a leopard killed a calf from Ramkala Thapa's house here. Now, when the terror of leopards strikes again, there is an increased concern that the same problem will be repeated.
It is too early to get the attention of the entire Suryavinayak Municipality on this matter. If the ward committee also paid attention to this problem, the pain of the ward residents would have been reduced even if it was a little.
