According to the law, the convention of the Congress should be held within November 2082. It is not impossible if you have the will. Congress also has a golden opportunity to present ideals for other parties by holding a convention within time.

But there are plans to move the convention. Although party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba is unwilling to hold the convention on time due to various reasons and interests, if the deputy chairman and general ministers take a collective stand, it is possible to hold the convention at the time specified by the law.

If the convention is not held within the time limit, not only Deuba will be disqualified, the office bearers after him will also be deemed disqualified. Since Deuba has become a leader after the post, he is trying to push the convention. Chief Minister Gagan Thapa and Vishwa Prakash Sharma should strongly oppose this matter. Gagan said in a function that he will not sit on the chair of the Chief Minister for more than 4 years. Does he value that bid or not? remains to be seen. However, the choice of whether to show the ideal path for other parties is in the hands of Deuba and Gagan.

Now the atmosphere inside the Congress party is very heated. The task of warming it up was done by the meeting of the founding group at Deuba residence last Friday. Due to the gathering, now the other side has also reached a heated state. Three groups are now seen on the surface. Deuba himself is leading the founding group. Another group of founders has a unique group of Shekhar Koirala and Gagan Thapa. In the 14th Congress, Gagan openly joined the Shekhar group, but which group is he in now? It is not clear. In the Deuba group, there are not many 'heavy weight' candidates and faces like Shekhar and Gaganjatti. If there is no agreement between Shekhar and Gagan and both of them fight for the post of chairman, even the weak candidate of the establishment group will not take long to win. If Shekhar and Gagan contest the election together, no matter how hard the Deuba group tries, it will be difficult to defeat the other group this year.

In other groups, if one person can be agreed as the party chairman and the other as the prime minister, the results of the 15th congress can easily go in favor of the other group. Otherwise, the founding group itself may come again. But since there are dozens of faces in the founding group who will rise to the post of party chairman, it is difficult to reconcile all of them. After Deuba, there is no such universal face in the founding group.

It is foolish to assume that Vimalendra Nidhi and Prakashman Singh, who did not leave Deuba in the 14th Congress, will welcome Deuba's face with applause. Moreover, Shanshak Koirala, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Krishna Prasad Sitaula are now insisting that it is their turn. There is a danger of three new groups being born within the founding group. But in other groups it is easy to mix because there are not many faces. It will be good if Shekhar can match Gagan. If not, if Chandra Bhandari is the deputy chairman and Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Pradeep Poudel are the general ministers, there is a higher chance of winning if they form a team.
