The contemporary politics of Nepal is surrounded by turmoil and instability. The political landscape is becoming more turbulent due to the strong expression expressed by the former Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda).
Also, there are comments that Prachanda's public expression is turning into abuse rather than politics. Not only that, it has also started to be discussed about the effect it will have on the future politics of Nepal. Lately, Prachanda has been focusing on criticizing UML President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. In this process, he has also accused Prime Minister Oli of many political and person-centered accusations. Looking at Prachanda's tumultuous political journey, there are signs that this series of accusations will continue to increase in the coming days. But there is no clear basis that this series is not intended by the power-centered Prachanda diplomacy of 'stabbing on the back' and 'making the most of the conflict' as in the past. However, it seems that Prachanda's statement will certainly become a weapon to cause conflict, causing suspicion within the current power coalition. There is also a possibility that such a situation will eventually prove to be more dangerous than expected for the democratic process and prosperity of Nepal.
Looking from a positive angle, it seems that Prachanda's critical mind has challenged the Oli government's working style in some agendas. If the latest conflict between Prachanda and Oli is revealed on the surface with positive initiatives and cooperation, it will benefit politics as well as the country. But for that, they should prioritize cooperation and national interests at the center of the struggle. If such an expression is coming from Prachanda with the implicit intention of playing in conflict by prioritizing only power-centered politics, then it may have a far-reaching impact on his political personality. Whether one believes it or not, the recent politics of Nepal will revolve around Prachanda-Oli, Oli-Sher Bahadur Deuba or Deuba-Prachanda internal relations and ups and downs for some time. If the Congress, UML and Maoists cooperate with each other and try to remove the differences, then it is likely to contribute significantly to strengthening the democratic system of Nepal. In this sense, Prachanda's latest expression can be used not only from a critical point of view, but also as a new opportunity to open the door to consensus and positive change.
Nepalese politics is not always just a competition between these main parties. It has many layers. It is becoming a mandatory requirement for every leader and party to contribute for the overall benefit and peace of the society. In this sense, there is no alternative to hope that Prachanda's strategy and Oli-Deuba's counter-attack will not turn into just personal dissatisfaction and conflict. Therefore, it has become an inevitable necessity to capitalize on everyone's efforts and create a bond of cooperation for the welfare of the nation.
