Today, a conflict is raging over the issue of cable car construction in Pathibhara of Taplejung. One side is of the position that cable cars must be built for development, while the other side says that development should not destroy culture.
The conflict between the two parties has created a situation of conflict and conflict. In May 2081 I got an opportunity to visit Pathibhara. It is a sacred religious pilgrimage site for Kirats and Hindus. Its geography is also unique. The trail is relatively easy and pleasant to walk. Some may associate building a cable car with development, but building a cable car here means dying the originality and uniqueness of this place. If the national park is preserved as it is, it is a center of religious faith many times more important than the national park itself. It is wiser to hand over such a holy place to the future generations without spoiling it at all, rather than taking temporary benefits financially or politically. Government and stakeholders should reconsider.
