Lately, Pokhara's Fevatal has been encroached upon. Phewatal is the pride not only of Pokhara but also of the nation. Whether you are a foreign tourist or a native, going to Pokhara is to see Phewa Lake and take a boat ride there.
If the Phewa lake does not remain, its natural beauty will be destroyed. Today the lakeside is full of tourists because of this lake. The first priority of the local government should be to protect Few Lake. A committee has been formed to protect Fewa Lake, the question has arisen as to what is the function of that committee.
In 2030, it was mentioned that Phewa Lake should be kept in a protected area and that no construction of any kind can be done at least 200 feet from the edge of the lake. Before that decision was made, why was the plan to bring that land to Phewatal by giving proper compensation to the settlers not implemented until today? Even the Supreme Court has given a mandate to protect the land of Phewatal, but that has not been implemented. An inquiry commission was formed during the time of the then Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai. The report given by that commission has not been implemented. No matter how much the government changes, no matter who the government is led by, shouldn't government land be protected? Fevatal is being buried by rain. On the other hand, encroachment continues. In this situation, who will save Fewatal?
