The people are not happy with the coalition government formed after the second general election after the constitution of Nepal 2072.
As the option of 'no vote' was not available, it was found that even in the municipality where there was no candidate, people cast their votes on their favorite election symbols. Later it was cancelled. If any of the candidates nominated by the parties were not acceptable to the voters, there was no option for such a situation. This is also one of the reasons why independent candidates get votes. Therefore, the government and the Election Commission should give the people the right to no vote. The masses did not like the central alliance formed by the parties with the intention of winning the election no matter what. If the right to no vote is provided by the law, the party will be forced to go to the people only by changing its conduct in the upcoming 2084 elections. The choice of parties to institutionalize a democratic republic is parties, not others.
To win public trust, leaders must act according to public opinion. The leader of the society should be good and capable no matter which party is elected. In the past, the Supreme Court had given an order in the name of the government and the Election Commission to protect the people's right to no vote by making a law. But the party and the Commission did not implement the order of the Supreme Court. In the past, the importance of no vote was felt in local level elections. The right to no vote means the support given by the people to the parties. It is an opportunity to improve behavior. If the right to no vote is not handed over, the Nepali people will demand a directly elected executive prime minister or president.
