During his tenure, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been spending time on power struggles within his own party rather than addressing the real needs and problems of the country's citizens.
Instead of focusing on important issues like education, health, jobs, infrastructure and economic reforms, the government has focused on removing its critics from the party and trying to preserve its power. Such behavior of the Prime Minister is causing great damage to his own party and the country. Development works are stagnant, people's problems are not given priority and people's trust in the government is decreasing. Sadly, there is a strong possibility that other leaders will follow Oli's trend. There is a risk that their focus will be limited to power politics and internal disputes rather than nation building and solving people's problems. Nepal now needs a responsible and visionary leader, who can rise above personal interests and give priority to the long-term interests of the nation. The country's leadership should not focus on preserving itself in power, but should focus on making concrete achievements in areas such as education, health, employment and economic development. We citizens should also think seriously about this. To secure the future of the country, we must demand change and force the leadership to move in the right direction. The prosperity and unity of Nepal is in our hands. We have to ensure that any leader is committed to work for the country and the people, not just for his power.
