Various people have been arrested and investigated for co-operative fraud, this is good work. Some of the accused have been prosecuted after investigation.
Some have absconded under the guise of politics. No one is free to embezzle the money collected by the people. Cooperative fraudsters will go to jail, but how long will the victim get the money? The state should take the immovable property of those fraudsters and return the money to the victim. Those who do small business in street boxes have also been cheated by cooperatives.
Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of RSVP, was accused of misappropriating the co-operative's money. After the investigation, the case against him has been submitted to the court. His position as a member of parliament was suspended after he was also accused of money laundering. Not only he was involved in
co-operative misappropriation, but other people with access, leaders also had to be investigated and legal action taken. Delaying justice is no justice at all. Therefore, the victim should get justice in time.
