Let the state recognize the players

Recently, Nepal defeated a country like Pakistan due to the all-round performance of captain Pooja Mahato, it is a matter of pride for all Nepalis. Although the leader cannot build the country, the players are doing the work of keeping Nepal's head high in front of the world.

While the men's cricketers managed to make it to the World Cup, the women's players defeated a Test-recognised country like Pakistan. The most proud thing is that this is the first time that a Test nation has been defeated in any group of women's cricket.

The government does not pay much attention to the world-renowned sports. Lately, cricket has been building a good image in Nepal, and all Nepalis are not happy about it. Sadly, the state itself has discriminated between male and female athletes. Not only in cricket, the same is seen in volleyball and football players. After all, a player is a player, why is it discriminated on the basis of gender? Women players should be given more facilities than men. Because there is a lot of challenge for women to participate in sports from home and society.

It is no small thing for them to reach the international level on their own. All should respect female athletes. There is lack of good ground to play cricket in Nepal. There is no proper salary for the players. There is confusion about what to do the next day after not being able to play the game. Even in such a critical situation, it is not important for the players to keep the image of Nepal high at the international level. When will it be possible to live in the game? Service facilities will be available only to all leaders and their relatives or to the players who will raise the head of the country?
