After the government announced the Decade of Tourism in 2022 to be implemented from 2023, there was no one who was not happy, from tourism professionals to the general public. Everyone expected that the Center would prepare a comprehensive action plan for the promotion of tourism in the country, activate all the 753 municipalities and conduct advertisements and various activities based on their needs and possibilities to increase attraction among tourists.

The natural beauty of distant districts, villages, art, language and everyday life of the common people gave hope to the local residents to make everyone happy. It does not seem impossible to rise the tourism industry in a short time with the joint efforts of tourism businessmen and local government. Ironically, now everyone has started to think of the political industry as everything. Even with the presence of the government in the villages, the responsible officials and stakeholders have not recognized that tourism is the cheapest and foreign currency earning business.

All our seven provinces have great potential for tourism. Provinces 2 and 5 do not have Himalayan districts, although they are not connected to the border of China, they are the land of Sita and Buddha, and have the potential of tourism one after the other. The remaining 5 provinces are connected to China and India. Adorned by mountains, filled with supernatural natural beauty, Nepal has been known as a mountainous country for a long time.

As there is no shortage of religious places in all the seven provinces, it can be believed that the attraction of religious tourists will continue to increase. Unfortunately, so far there is not much discussion about the role of central, state and local governments. There is no attempt to make the country the best destination for tourism. If all municipalities are held responsible for promotion, advertising, guaranteeing the comfort and safety of tourists, even if two years are meaningless, the remaining eight years of the 'Tourism Decade' can be made a success.
