The election of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists ended recently. In the district, state and center elections held at the same time, an alliance was formed between the two largest parties, the Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Press Union and the CPN UML-affiliated Press Chautari Nepal.
In this way, if the party that formed an alliance for power, journalists also form an alliance according to the same, how can they believe that there will be fair journalism? Apart from the honest and fair one, many journalists are seen in the shadows of the party. Therefore, there is a need for impartial and pro-people journalism in the current hopeless situation.
