How will people feel relieved when a minister who does not know his status is in the country? A few days ago, Energy Minister Deepak Khadka has started sitting in his office at the Nepal Electricity Authority.
He must know what message he is trying to convey to the Nepali people. No minister had ever done so much, he showed his status to the people. Is it because of the inconvenience in the minister's quarter that he is keeping an office in the authority or to encourage industrialists who do not pay electricity dues?
It is surprising to see that the government is against the executive director of the authority, Kulman Ghising. Ghising brought the authority which was in loss of crores to profit. The action taken by the government has clearly shown why the organizations under the government went into losses. It is not good for the government to intervene everywhere. It is natural for the institutions to lose because the government does not give opportunities to those who work
, and it is the work of the government to slander the corrupt. The long-standing tariff dispute has not yet been resolved. Even if the electricity line is cut, they are insisting that the tariff should be raised but Energy Minister Khadka is standing in the way. What kind of policy is there to charge fines and cut the line when the common people don't pay the tolls on time, but even if the industrialists don't pay crores of rupees, what kind of policy is there?
