With the formation of new powers by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai after the constitution, it can be considered as the formal beginning of alternative politics in Nepal. Even before that, organizations such as Viveksheel Nepali had been doing some exercises centered on the capital.

As the old and established political parties failed to deliver, the debate on new alternative politics gained significance as an attempt to find an alternative to them. An atmosphere of hope and trust was created among the people who were tired of the old parties. Currently, alternative local bodies have independent mayors in Kathmandu, Dhangadhi, and Dharan. RSVP has entered the House of Representatives as the fourth power in the country.

The alternative forces vigorously raised the issue that old parties and even some established faces in power have contaminated politics and that it cannot benefit the country in all aspects. However, the alternative political forces were not interested in starting a new ideological debate by criticizing the old party's working style and ideas.

How did the leaders of the old party, who were once devoted to the political change of the country, end up making decisions against the interests of the country and the people in the course of time? The question of whether this is purely a trend of political characters or a problem in their thinking was a basic question that alternative politics should ask. Changing old characters and bringing new ones has become a principle of alternative politics.

It is the product of the ideological confusion of the alternative political forces, who have to adopt the achievements obtained from the struggle and sacrifices of the people in the past and decide the way for the future. The current constitution certainly has its weaknesses, but it has addressed some forward-looking issues. Alternative forces need to play a role in making the constitution more inclusive and meaningful by identifying the weaknesses.

At present, there is a growing tendency in the society to disobey the established methods and methods, challenge the law, abuse the elected democratic institutions in a chaotic manner and try to minimize the achievements. It seems that these negative characters and trends are the most challenged by the alternative forces, so they are trying to use these characters and trends to bake their political bread.
