Ravi Lamichhane, former home minister and RSVP chairman, has been arrested on charges of cooperative corruption. Based on the complaint given by the victim, the work of taking him to every district and taking his statement has not been completed. He is guilty or innocent, tomorrow the court decision will tell.

It is surprising to see supporters doing chaotic activities demanding Ravi's release. President who says he obeys the rule of law and cooperates with the court, workers and journalists will be beaten?

It is reprehensible that when the statement against Ravi was going on in Chitwan, the activists protested outside and assaulted the journalists. Everyone has the right to peaceful protest but no one is exempt from engaging in violent activities.

It is natural to investigate after a complaint is filed against someone in court or police. Isn't it completely wrong to say that the investigation cannot be done? Ravi is not the only person accused of corruption, other corrupt persons should also be investigated. Do not make the innocent guilty by using many insults. Let the guilty be found based on the facts.

If there is rule of law in Nepal, the guilty do not get immunity. But, what is the movement of RSVP for? Can't investigate the complaint against Ravi? RSVP is protesting to influence the investigation itself, this is not fair at all.
