After reading the news in Kantipur about 'Himalaya to fly from Pokhara to Lhasa in China', it can be expected that the stalled Pokhara International Airport will be operational.

The airport, built at a cost of 25 billion 34 million rupees, was inaugurated in December 2079. Apart from one flight by Druk Air of Bhutan in August 2080 and a charter flight by China's Sichuan Airlines, there are no other international flights. Taking into account the possibility that the number of tourists and passengers on the Pokhara-Lhasa route may be significant, it is positive to start preparing for the flight. In December last year, Himalaya started flying this route once a week from Kathmandu, but it was closed due to low number of passengers. Flights to other cities in China have not been able to operate regularly due to the low number of passengers. If the government officials take the initiative, it can be hoped that the international airports at Pokhara and Bhairahawa will operate regularly.
