Who doesn't get my vote?

‘What action will be taken against rapists?’ They say, ‘Rape happens in America too, how can I contain that capitalism?’ They say, ‘The one who relentlessly harasses the hardworking people who work on carts and bicycles and doesn’t even apologize.’

Much has been written about which parties and candidates to vote for. But, today I want to write about who will not get my vote. Of course, the choice to vote for someone or not is ‘personal’. But, in a broader sense, there is no such thing as ‘personal’. It is ‘social’ and ‘political’.

Here, I have written the topic of not voting point by point without explaining it much. That is why there is no continuity between the sentences. You are free to remove or add something to these points or create something completely new. But, there is also something called voter education, which seems to have disappeared these days. Who will I not vote for?

Whose expression I cannot recite to my children without editing. Who issued a statement without the word ‘tribute’ when children were killed. Have you seen the lack of 'respect' in the tributes printed in newspapers? No. However, I have seen tributes that lack 'respect'. Who, when he was the head of the household, did not take moral responsibility for the horrific violence that took place inside the house and only showed it outside the house. Who did not try to prevent further damage to the house by resigning immediately. Who has not even apologized a word yet.

The head of the household who destroys the family and the arrogant family members who burn the house down in anger. Who kept making statements like 'I will burn it down, I will bury it'. Who, after being a departmental minister twice, did not even break a single penny in the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta. Who, when he had to leave without completing the work he had taken on, never showed his face to the voters, nor did he say thank you, nor did he say sorry. Those who, fearing that they will later show what they have said and demand accountability, did not have a single conversation with any journalist and a single dialogue between candidates before the election. They did not hold a single physical or virtual open question and answer session.

Those who silence questioners, burn media outlets, and ridicule the entire journalism sector. Parties that do not have internal democracy, do not hold general conventions, and have a system of patronage. Those who do not stand up for reform and generational change in their families. Those who always jump ten feet high in defense of their stinking corrupt leaders. Those who spout words of hatred and arrogance in every sentence.

Those who believe in violence. Those who promote impunity. Those who discriminate negatively (violence) on the basis of gender, caste, religion, region, class, body, physical condition, etc. Who says in Parliament that the Nawaraj Vishwakarma died because of his own fault . Who wants an undemocratic rule of some clan or lineage based on birth . Who mixes religion with politics .

Who keeps saying that he returned from abroad to build the country . Who keeps presenting himself as a contractor even in old age as if he was born to build the country . Who keeps blowing away the critical mind by saying ‘Ache’ . Who makes and spreads comments like the game is bad when some players are finished .

Who says ‘this country is ruined by educated people’ . Who says ‘politics is only for those with degrees, rich people or some profession’ . Who believes that ‘the poor are the most corrupt when they enter politics’ . Who says ‘how many certificates did Gautam Buddha have ? Did he grow up by studying elephants ? Society is not a book, it is society,' he says. The one who says 'intellectuals are rats that cut the coat, those who read a lot do not become crazy'. The one who says 'all the rich are exploiters and feudalists and all the businessmen are firecrackers'. The one who makes statements like everyone except the businessmen of his party should be set on fire. The one who keeps going abroad to study with state money but reduces the budget for education and health in the country and says that all these sectors should be handed over to the private sector. But then he says that the paper factory, shoe factory, cigarette and liquor factory should be run by the state. The one who says 'I gave this much allowance, increased it this much, now I will add this much'. The one who does not say 'The facilities you get from the state treasury are the taxes you pay'. The one who says 'If I win, I will not take a single rupee of salary allowance'. The one who says, 'I rescued a pregnant woman with my helicopter'.

The one who sits in the government and talks big without even disclosing his assets. The one who was a journalist for a long time but now always dodges questions by saying, 'There is nothing worse than journalism.' The one who has not made any significant (sustainable) policy changes despite getting the opportunity to become Prime Minister and Minister repeatedly. The one who has been playing tricks for four decades by changing the stakes in every system.

The one who considers himself above dialogue. The one who does not recognize the existence of others. The one who has risen to become an MLA but only knows technology in the name of law.

Who has been convinced that 'women are the enemy of women.' Who, as soon as he talks about caste discrimination, says 'there is discrimination even within the Kami, Damai, and Sarki.' Who says 'the merit system has been destroyed by the positive discrimination policy.' Who has made the closed list a list of the rich, the accessible, the sensational celebrities, the immoral and the closed-mouthed. And then he says 'the proportional electoral system did not work for us.' The one who says, ‘The country was once heaven, now it has become hell.’ The one who says, ‘The country was once hell, only if I win will it become heaven.’ The one who says, ‘What action will be taken against rapists?’ The one who says, ‘Rape happens in America too, how can I handle capitalism?’ The one who relentlessly harasses the hardworking people who work on carts and bicycles and does not even apologize. The one who spends the small savings kept in cooperatives but says, ‘I am better than the old corrupt ones.’ The one who is rich with multiple identity cards, initially refuses and finally says, ‘I did not know.’ The one who sees his sovereign citizens living only to eat meat rice and collect money.’ The one who thinks that giving a sip of water when someone is extremely hungry and thirsty is a distributive and lazy act. And he says, ‘Come to my party, endure hunger and thirst for a few years and struggle hard. Socialism/Communism comes and what about a glass of water? I will feed you eighty-four dishes.’ (By then, the thirsty person’s soul may be gone or his youth-life may be ruined, but the leader will be a fool.) The one who, after listening to questions, criticism, comments, and suggestions, says, 'We all know what to do and how to do it.' Those who want to teach should first win the election like me, did you have the courage to stand in the election?' Who keeps saying 'Can a country be built by talking? We have to work.' Who says 'Can a country be built by doing journalism, writing literature, singing songs, writing articles, doing research, interacting? To build a country, we have to contest elections like me.'

The one who considers himself above dialogue. The one who does not accept the existence of others. The one who has risen to become an MLA but knows only technology in the name of law. The one who always keeps silent about the ego of society before contesting elections. The one who keeps silent because his fan-followers are decreasing and then asks you to vote silently when elections come. The one who even asks for votes to elect an MLA seems to be asking for votes to win a reality show.

The one who supports autocracy by showing his hands raised against extreme autocracy and saying that they will ‘throw stones’ at them. The one who says, 'You were not born when I was in jail, don't come and fight with me'. The one who, even in videos, does not let the new generation speak, and does emotional torture by saying, 'If you can, change the country and the map'. The one who does not have the wisdom and conscience of the old woman in the village, like 'Tell your mother to vote for this', insults the elders. The one who does not talk about issues in elections, only talks about what currency to present on the stage and how much currency to eat/feed.

The one who does not believe that society is formed after every citizen and institution does their own work. The one who does not accept separation of powers and balance. The one who says, 'If two or four leaders are right, I will bring a miracle to the country overnight.' The one who sees every problem only in geopolitics. The one who only tells stories of conspiracy theories. The one who says that if I lose, the country loses. The one who sees every citizen except himself and his own as a foreign broker and agent. The one who does not have the habit of apologizing when making a mistake. The one who does not know how to speak calmly, politely, in a civilized style, and in a decent manner. The one who runs away from all the questions raised against him. The one who answers factual questions only with the help of a kurtak. The one who says, 'This time it is a trend, the vote is not wasted.' The one who says, 'This time it is a trend, the vote is not wasted.'
