Election energy, landless people's rights

What you should know

There is an election atmosphere all over the country at the moment. The poor landless are worried about who will be the leader and party that will speak in their favor. It is natural to have such a worry because the landless who have donated votes in many previous elections hope that the parties and leaders will work in their favor every time. The landless, who had a lot of hope in the past but did not get the land title, are suffering a lot.

The upcoming elections are not adding much energy. Because this election came to be sudden and was held due to the recent movement and the situation created by it. Although this time some parties have been added than before, some candidates have been added. The participation of youth is also more than before. However, the old parties and leaders look and sound as if they had to forcefully enter the electoral fray.

The elections are already approaching. Many leaders are in the electoral fray. Everyone is saying that they will win. The lower class has not participated in this election. There are no candidates from the poor, landless and squatter communities. They do not have that kind of access and political parties do not believe them. However, they also take votes from these classes.

The lower class, who are landless. Squatters There are, those who are farmers, those who are women farmers, they are looking for a party that will speak in their favor, a leader who is committed to solving their problems. The promises and commitments they make give a special kind of hope and energy to these communities.

When reviewing the past, the people have so far received a lot of hope from the leaders and parties. They have listened to many speeches. They have read many documents. That is where the change will come from. They have been giving and receiving votes in the name of solving the problems of their own and those like them, the landless, squatters and small farmer families. The parties and leaders who came to power on the votes of the landless also forgot the promises they made to them, that is why the problem still remains.

Therefore, it is expected that the candidates and political parties who have entered the fray in this election will conduct a deep review. The issue of solving the land problem is mentioned in the constitution. Our constitution has sovereign rights in the people. How many of these tasks were done or not done or could not be done after winning elections in the past? If not, why could not they be done? That should also be reviewed. The

issue is not just about land reform. The issues that parties and leaders should review are why good governance could not be established in the country? Why corruption has not ended? Why are the people's problems increasing? Why are the children of the lower classes forced to work hard in foreign countries? Why is there despair among the people? Will the children of the people who have gone abroad return home or not? Can the moneylender's loan be repaid or not? How will treatment be provided in case of illness? Are the stoves burning in the morning and evening in the people's homes? Are the children of the poor able to study or not?

Now, it is important for the people to ask these questions to the parties and candidates who come door to door to seek votes. And they should be able to ask them. They should also be able to hear what their representatives' understanding of these issues and commitment to the future will be.

In the past, there were many leaders who made promises to the people, took votes and did not return after winning the election. Which always increased the people's anxiety. What we are looking for now is a representative who always meets the people. Who listens to the people's voice. A representative who understands the people's problems in depth and is committed to taking the initiative to solve them.

We want every public representative to see things through the eyes of the landless. They should make promises and commitments to build a landless-free nation. We still have many questions. We are looking for representatives, parties and candidates who can answer the questions and understand and solve them in depth.

There are countless questions,

(1) The Birta system ended in 2016, but why was the Birta land not returned to the farmers?

(2) The Haliyas were liberated, the landlords were liberated, but why could not the life of the Haliyas be transformed?

(3) Kamaiyas and Kamlaris were declared free, but this problem has not been solved yet?

(4) Caste untouchability was declared free, but why does caste untouchability persist in the community? Is this problem only for Dalits? Why has this not become a state problem?

(5) Why have landless Dalits, landless squatters and unorganized settlers not received land? When will it happen?

(6) How long will the Guthi victims get their tenant rights? Why couldn't the law be made?

(7) How long will our children be sent to the Gulf countries? Why can't we get jobs in Nepal?

(8) Why can't the agricultural profession and farmer families be respected? Why is land left fallow? The more land remains fallow, the more the production doubles in statistics? What kind of statistics is this?

(8) Why does corruption flourish even when government employees and civil servants receive salary and service facilities? Why do we have to run to government offices for weeks for the community? When will the community be able to get services in a simple way?

These and other such questions are all related to the livelihood of the people at the grassroots level. Therefore, answers to these questions should be sought in the upcoming elections. A leader who can eliminate grievances and restore order should come after winning the election. On the other hand, the public should also be aware of what kind of candidates to choose. In that, we, the landless community, the communities suffering from land problems, should be even more aware. If that happens, I believe that the electoral energy can give land titles to the landless.

Therefore, let this election also be energetic. May it be happy. After the election, let there be an environment where all the landless people can get land titles. For that, let us ask the leaders who come to the landless villages, when will we get the titles? How will our homes be safe? Choosing candidates who have a clear vision, clear understanding, deep thinking and commitment to these issues is the only way to get rid of the problems of the landless in the future.
