Asral politics after the Gen-ji Rebellion

None of today's leaders are guided by the ideals of their predecessors. They are in politics, for different purposes. That is the purpose - to gain power and show respect in the society.

Nepal's three political parties have been victims of subversive attacks launched in parallel with the Gen-G movement. The buildings of Nepali Congress, which is the largest party in the disbanded House of Representatives, and CPN-UML, established as the second largest party, have been vandalized. The situation of the third largest party Maoist Center is no different.

There is no need to hesitate to say that the violent attack on the party 'headquarters', which are the safe forts of all these three parties, was planned. This time the agitation crossed all limits of violence. The common man panicked.

However, Nepali Congress, the country's oldest and historical political party, was the worst hit of the destructive attack. In terms of age, probably the most 'mature' (after communist leader Mohan Vikram Singh who was living an inactive life) character in contemporary Nepalese politics and the 'supreme' leader of the Congress, Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife and Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba were victims of violent attacks by the protesters. The Deuba couple had to be taken to a military hospital for treatment. The news that the protestors found a pile of 'grave' in Deuba's residence began to spread on social media. Deuba couple's 'demonization' campaign started.

Prime Minister and UML President Khadg Prasad Sharma Oli escaped the assault due to being in the 'security zone' of the Prime Minister's residence. The army kept him in his Shivpuri camp with comfort and security. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who reached the peak of power by leading 'people's war' and small-scale movements, went 'underground' during the 'Prachanda' period. Prachanda, who has gained enough experience of both war and agitation, must have 'pre-assessed' the possible accident.

A month after the subversive movement, UML and Maoist party leaders have started an interactive campaign within their respective parties. Some UML leaders are looking for a simple and dignified exit of President KP Sharma Oli. All the leaders are in a hurry to reach the highest post of the party. However, President Oli does not seem ready for that. Former President Vidya Bhandari is trying to become active in the party by giving up allowances, facilities and honors. Leaders like Surendra Pandey, Shankar Pokharel, Pradeep Gyawali, Vishnu Paudel also have their own strategy. However, the desire and dominance of youth leadership in UML seems to be increasing.

The desire for change among the leaders of the Maoist party also seems to be increasing rapidly. Major leaders of the party have also started joining the campaign of Janardhan Sharma 'Pravakar', in which Narayankaji Shrestha and Ram Karki are the leaders.

The path of leadership change and adjustment in the Nepali Congress is not as easy as in the communist parties. The founding leaders of the party, BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh, Suvarna Shamsher and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai did not hand over their succession to anyone. Before returning from exile in 2033, BP handed over the charge of Acting Chairman to Krishna Prasad Bhattarai.

Ganeshman Singh agreed to his selection. If BP wanted, he could have handed over the leadership to his brother and revolutionary leader Girija Prasad Koirala, son Prakash Koirala, niece Shailaja Acharya. He had the power to respect the merits of his fellows. He never abused his power.

None of today's leaders are guided by the ideals of their predecessors. They are in politics, for different purposes. That is the purpose - to gain power and show respect in the society. The current Gen-J rebellion has also shown how eager people are to show their rights. A man working in an NGO enters a government office and starts interfering. This is not a good sign.

Especially, the situation of the country would not have been so bad if the Nepali Congress, which came to power after the popular movement of 2046, had not come to power after getting the majority of the people in the elections.

This deviation brought by the power not only lasted for a whole decade, it also caused great disharmony in the party. Krishnaprasad Bhattarai earned fame as the leader who led the parliamentary election campaign of 2056 and won the majority for the Congress. However, he resigned due to infighting within the party. During his lifetime, the Nepali Congress party split. Sher Bahadur Deuba got down from the 'tree' and reached to hold the urn. Later, King Gyanendra removed him and imprisoned him. Then the Kalash Congress took the path of integration with the original Congress.

Girija Prasad Koirala had many ambitions for the development of the country both in terms of party leader and Prime Minister. His conflict with King Gyanendra escalated during his prime ministership. He left the post of Prime Minister and started to bring the Maoist People's War to a decisive end. He was the hero of the campaign to transform Nepal from a constitutional monarchy to a federal republic. Two decades have passed since the establishment of the Federal Republic. Meanwhile, there have been many dramatic political events, which need not be mentioned here.

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala was in the role of coordinator in preparing the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nepal in conjunction with the Nepali Congress. The constitution was promulgated during his prime ministership. After the death of Sushil Koirala, the leadership came to Sher Bahadur Deuba. Along with his leadership, leaders such as Gopalman Shrestha, Bimalendra Nidhi, Krishna Sitaula, Shashank Koirala, Prakashman Singh, Prakasharan Mahat, NP Saud emerged at the center of power and authority.

Dr. who was active in politics during the conflict. Shekhar Koirala helped Chairman Girija Prasad Koirala in talks with Maoists. After 2062 to 2072 - after a decade of upheaval, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nepal was issued. Now the responsibility of all the leaders seen and unseen in Nepali Congress has increased. However, most of the leaders from the local level to the central level seem to be looking for patronage. Rather, the nature of the leaders of the competing parties does not seem to be like that.

The current constitution has been interfered with from the non-constitutional sector. Such an ambush does not serve the country well. However, the character of this constitution is also similar. Late Pradeep Giri, Member of Parliament of Nepali Congress and a strong intellectual personality, said this line in a conversation with the writer about the Constitution: "Everyone understands the current constitutional system. This is another version of parliamentary system. Initially, the Maoists were not satisfied with this. They used to use various titles and adjectives or suffixes and prefixes to refer to this parliamentary system as 'No, where did we come to the parliamentary system?' The dearest thing to man is his life. Not only humans, the common hunger and thirst of all animals, dogs and cats are the same. Animals are ready to resist any struggle to save their lives. Yes, they may lack awareness.

is the state and media giving knowledge of consciousness. Taking charge of life without awareness is a ridiculous step taken by the state. The real thing is that nobody has been able to understand the major problems of the country. A revolution took place. Parliamentary democracy came. Another revolution happened, the republic came. However, there has been no transformation in the structure of the state. In terms of tradition, although the state power has been transferred, the state has not been transformed. why not Why has it not happened even after repeated struggles, revolutions and rebellions?  Limited consumables are available in the

market. Just as the consumer is forced to buy those goods, we too are doomed to choose one of two or three parties in the name of political freedom. This has also been seen in London. There is either Labor or Conservative. This has also been seen in America. It has also been seen in India. In almost all countries, voices are raised from time to time that people's representatives should be called back. However, the process of recalling the people's representative will not start anywhere. It will be a lesson to the world if Nepal is able to amend the constitution to recall the people's representatives now.

Now local power has come in Nepal. A lot of powers have been given to the local authorities. However, the local people's representatives have not satisfactorily utilized those rights. The reason is obvious. Little ones do what big people do. As long as he was in the position of Prime Minister, Oli's coolness and quickness are not there now. Mayors and ward presidents of villages and municipalities also want to demonstrate the rawness and agility of Oli. They consider themselves the masters of the people. Therefore, a new Nepal cannot be formed without ending the ownership that comes through elections.

One thing is clear. The present time is the eve of a bigger, more comprehensive and more multi-faceted struggle than all the rebellions and struggles that have taken place in Nepal till date. At this moment, the gen-jis who were sitting at leisure came. The struggle is over. What is the way forward? A multifaceted revolution will not be brought about by a single great man. Every person should be responsible for this.

At least in a country like Nepal, the problem will not be solved until 8/10 young people go out and build a fort there in every ward of the municipality. This country is ours. The problem cannot be solved until we get a kind of disguised sense of nationalism that we go abroad to wash dishes and not to work as janitors in India.
