In the 1960s, there was competition between the Soviet Union and the United States to land a man on the moon. Leonid Brezhnev was the President of the Soviet Union. In 1969, the United States landed. Brezhnev was told. Brezhnev angrily said - 'We will go down to the sun.' Burn to ashes, it is impossible.' Brezhnev replied - 'You fool! Not midsummer, but after the snow falls in December, it will come down to Christmas.'' Everyone fell silent. Then the joke of 'Breznev Syndrome' became. In Nepal, the government is now running in the style of 'Breznev Syndrome'.

On the foundation of the success of the movement of 2062/63, the constitution of Nepal 2072 was made. There were no 'referendums' or opinion polls on subjects like monarchy, secularism and federalism. But in Article 4(1) of the constitution made by the elected sovereign Constituent Assembly, Nepal is defined as a "Federal Democratic Republic State". Due to the said definition, the controversy of constitutional monarchy, secularism and federalism ended. In the beginning, people had high expectations for the republic. But the rulers of the republic lacked vision and became dictators. Due to the incompetence of the governments, the masses who do not adopt the republic have increased. In the last 17 years, the Republic of Nepal should have become a way of life. If it had been made, party workers would not have taken to the streets to celebrate Republic Day. 

The current Prime Minister is ruling for the fourth time. After this, another leader is waiting for his turn to become the prime minister for the sixth time. No matter how many times, 'delivery' is zero. Today, there is a competition between the rulers and the rulers not to move the country forward with corruption control and good governance, but how many times the prime minister will be. Therefore, the current protest is against the rulers, not the republic. If failed rulers leave politics, there will be no people to protest. Diwali and happy procession will be held in Nepal.

In Britain, the bill for the abolition of the monarchy and the establishment of a republic continues to be submitted. The media keeps polling. There were 40 queens in Britain from 1027 to the present King Charles. From 1649 to 1660 Britain became a 'de facto republic'. In 1649, King Charles I was beheaded. In 1660, Charles II was made king. Monarchy was established again. 

The Daily Telegraph conducted an opinion poll in 1991. Young people under the age of 25 said that the monarchy should be abolished. In 1991, Labor MP Tony Benn introduced a 'Private Bill' to abolish the monarchy and make the President the head of state. The bill did not receive support. I fell in love with the 'first reading'. In a January 1990 poll, 6 percent said the monarchy should be abolished. In a 1991 poll, 75 percent said they wanted a monarchy. 89 percent of those who do not need a monarchy said that they only need a monarchy for tourism and revenue collection. In Britain the government is not concerned with whether it is a republic or a monarchy. Considers public opinion. The government cannot survive by cheating. You don't earn money by sitting in the 'White Hall' (government office). Asepase shall not be appointed. If the government collapses, there is no concern that government facilities will go away. The only concern is that the country could not be brought forward by implementing its manifesto.

There is no plan to advance the country here in the Republic. Hence the rise of monarchists. If there was a wise ruler, he would have weakened the power of the former monarchists by controlling corruption, disorder, and disorder, not by making false cases. He used to investigate the allegations of corruption against the Prime Minister and the Minister. He used to end the rites of Bhagbanda. Since 2047, he showed the courage to form a high-level inquiry commission to reveal the source of everyone's wealth. But they don't dare because they are caught in corruption. 

Panchayats provided infrastructure for development. Democracy was not given. Now there are leaders like mushrooms. The leader needs a ticket in the election and then MP and minister post anyway. You have to win by rigging loans. After winning the election, the position and authority is used to raise the expenses incurred in the election. Executive power is such a sword by using which an honest ruler builds a country. But a selfish person tries to be only himself. That is what is happening today.

The UML and the Maoist Center formed a two-thirds government. Now the UML and Congress government is about two-thirds. But no vision. If there was a vision, Nepal would have entered the G-20 or G-7 group in 18 years. Even when there was a two-thirds majority time and again, the country got nothing. It became unstable and went down. Unemployment increased. The debt added heavily. He also provided allowances, vehicles, residence facilities to the ex-specialists who were living on pension with their own facilities. Distributed the amount from Dhukuti. committed and encouraged corruption. Fake cases were filed against those who protested. Freedom of speech and publication was banned. Shareholding became common in all government appointing bodies. The task of saving one's workers was to trap another. Now 7 provinces and 77 districts should not be divided π 

A leader without vision is a ship without a compass. Nepal today is in the hands of a leader without vision. This is the reason why republicanism is bad. The face of the republic can also be seen from the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister himself looks raw. Regarding the resignation of Education Minister Vidya Bhattarai, the Prime Minister said, "I was teaching the Education Minister and resigned." "I was teaching work" is an unparliamentary, insulting and offensive term. The post of minister is not a position to hire and teach subbas. What a misunderstanding? In a parliamentary system, the largest party forms the government. The second party forms a shadow government. A shadow government consists of shadow ministers. When the shadow government comes to the government, the parliamentarians who are looking after the ministry of the shadow government become the ministers and are experts in the respective ministries. When the Prime Minister said that he was teaching the Education Minister, it means that the Prime Minister himself seems incompetent. 

The President's ceremonial address was recently held in Parliament. The President's speech should have talked about enacting a law similar to the activism shown by US immigration officials against those who have taken US citizenship. Trump only made a policy of deporting illegal immigrants. The 'detail work' of implementing the policy belongs to the staff. Today in Nepal there is a need for thinking and laws to do 'detail work'. Corruption is the reason why the republic has not taken root. In order to control corruption, the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission should do 'detailed work'. Then the republic becomes popular.

Here the source of wealth earned through corruption is shown to the wife or in-laws. If you ask your wife or mother-in-law, they will tell you that because I gave property to my husband or son-in-law, I am poor and have to run a shoe shop. It should be dug, but it is not dug. Legislation should have been made to make the authority work, but it is not made.

So the problem is not the republic, but the leaders and the government. Because of the government, the international community has stopped trusting Nepal. Nepal recently organized the 'Sagarmatha Samvad' following the annual dialogue held at Davos and other forums. The high officials of big countries did not care in that dialogue. Sent environmental monitoring staff. No head of state or head of government came. What does it mean? The government should understand. 

Finally, ours is a parliamentary republican system. A republic with political parties is considered the best democratic system. Constitutionalism, rule of law, good governance, a government accountable to parliament and an independent judiciary are considered to be the 'five elements' of parliamentary democracy. A sovereign nation is characterized by 2 things – the constitution and the government. But the constitution is made like the constitution of an NGO. The government was made like an organization of 25 volunteers from Belgaum. When a leader goes abroad, the day has come when the Prime Minister calls at night and asks what will happen to my position. Congress, the largest party in Parliament, does not dare to run the government by itself. Raises others and sits as the prime minister's spokesperson.
