A government terrified of itself

Both the Congress and UML, which have taken the responsibility of providing 'good governance' by running the government together, have diverted their attention 'elsewhere' from good governance.

A government terrified of itself

Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, in his address to the meeting of ex-servicemen and police organizations, has demonstrated the arrogance of power by stating, without context, that 'combatants involved in 'inhuman and heinous' crimes committed during the armed conflict will not be pardoned'.

This is an unwanted expression of Prime Minister Oli. What incidents during the armed conflict are considered inhumane and heinous crimes? What events are considered humane and normal? Prime Minister Oli has not defined. Prime Minister Oli himself started politics by believing in the communist theory that political and economic change will come only through armed conflict.

Therefore, it cannot be expedient to try to make a statement of 'inhuman and heinous' crime from him. Prime Minister Oli's statement cannot be acceptable to the society at this time when the country is soaked with economic crimes from the political level. Why is the prime minister trying to make a fuss about the wounds of the conflict? At present, this untimely statement of the Prime Minister cannot be of interest to anyone.

No one should forget this fact: Nepal's new identity as a 'federal republic' was created by the 'people's war' waged by the Maoists and the massive mass movement of 2062 by political parties who believed in the parliamentary system. Probably at that time, Prime Minister Oli was kept on the 'edge' by his party UML.

Probably because of this, he was not aware of the most atrocious incidents during the armed conflict. Some of the incidents during the armed conflict have not been investigated yet. There was no question of judicial determination. At a time when judicial resolution should be sought, the leaders of the Maoist party began to enjoy the financial support that came for the management of the cantonment. This fact is well known.

Even though the federal republican constitution was created in 2072, the works according to the constitution have not been done either when the chairman of the Maoist party himself was the prime minister for three times, nor in the subsequent times. Almost a decade after the formation of the federal republican constitution has ended in mutual tussle between the parties. A stable government has not been formed due to fragmented election results.

Country and people's time has been wasted. None of the governments that have been formed since the establishment of the republic have been able to act so far as to apply ointment to the wounds of the conflict. Due to the weak and incompetent leadership established in the political parties, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nepal is in a shrinking state.

Nepali Congress, the historical party that planted the seed of democratic socialist ideology in Nepal even for a decade after the constitution, and Nepal Communist Party, the most recent organization of communists that aims to change society through communist ideas, and the Nepal Communist Party, the unified Marxist-Leninist government, could have been a happy coincidence in Nepali political theater. However, less than a year after the formation of the joint government, the situation of the government has turned out to be ridiculous.

The 'decisive' leaders of both the big parties, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and UML President and Prime Minister Oli, who have almost monopolized the center of government operations, have become self-absorbed in their own personal ambitions. Both these parties are politically connected. However, the working unity between these two parties could not be found.

governance has become ineffective. Congress president Deuba is entangled in the hope of the 'future' prime minister's post. He has started to hesitate to speak even when he needs to. The Nepali Congress Party is in a state of chaos both ideologically and organizationally. On the other hand, UML President and Prime Minister Oli has seen 'self-indulgence'. It is a misfortune of Nepalese politics that the leaders of these two parties, who are considered as 'saviors', cannot appear in the Federal Parliament when they can prove that the 'reconciliation between the two big parties is for the benefit of the country'.

Corruption in our country is not only rampant because of political party leaders. A group of white-collar criminals who are active in widening corruption by showing greed to ignorant, inexperienced and educationally weak leaders is present in the administrative service of Nepal. If the top political leaders of all political parties do not unite against such corrupt activities, it will not take long for the country to collapse. The process of decolonization of the country has already started.

The situation of national level political party leaders is like this, while the situation of important regional level political parties and their leaders is also seen as pathetic. The leaders established in Madhesh during the republican movement have not been able to rise above the political contraction.

The defeat of Janata Samajwadi Party president Upendra Yadav and the victory of Janamat Party president CK Raut from a political constituency like Saptari was not natural. CK Raut's victory was a challenge to Upendra Yadav's leadership. Upendra was brought back to the Federal Parliament by the people of Bara. CK's supporters could not stop Upendra's comeback.

After Gyanendra Shah's visit to Pokhara, it was unnatural for the leaders of the federal government to be alarmed and the anti-republicans to be excited after seeing the crowd gathered in the federal capital in the name of 'welcome'. Judging by the subsequent developments, the government could not adopt an effective strategy against those who wanted regression. The anti-social elements occupying the social media are making rumors that the 'Gath-Gadi', which the people took from the hands of the king, will be taken away from the hands of the people and handed over to the king.

The attention of both Congress and UML, who have taken the responsibility of giving 'good governance' by running the government together, has been diverted 'elsewhere' than good governance. All the existing parties in the country are tied to the power interests. In matters of self-interest, from UML President and current Prime Minister Oli to Congress Chairman Deuba, from Maoist Chairman Prachanda to Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden, all are naked in the bathroom.

According to their level and status, all regional party presidents and leaders - everyone's heart is buried in the bath of power. Interestingly, the leaders of all parties are united against this ugly trend. Everyone's sympathy towards the people has been raised. People are made sympathetic characters. This is the most disgusting situation today.

Current politics has exceeded all limits of idealistic beliefs. From 2007 to now - after seventy-five years of ups and downs, the politics of Nepal and the leaders of Nepal have come to this period to sacrifice more for freedom and democracy with the people. Cannot invoke

. With what mouth do they do that? In days gone by, the leaders elected by the people were considered the guides of the society. Today's leaders have become 'technically elected' leaders. They appear more in the role of intermediaries than as representatives of the people. Teachers are on strike, co-op workers are on strike.

From patients to doctors, everyone is on the move. Everyone has different demands. However, those who run the government have neither the courage nor the ability to address the demands of the people. At one time, politics was considered to be the best policy for running society. Today it has become an indispensable weapon for social and political abuse.

An independent observer studying political events looks at reality with naked eyes. A political activist only speaks what the leader finds 'dear' in favor of his own interests. This is an old custom. Now all the old and new political parties of Nepal are under the pressure of generational change. The hunger to become 'honorable' has awakened in the big leaders of all the parties who are holding the command of the party. A new generation of activists has awakened a desire to reach power and taste happiness. The pervasive influence of communication has made people hypnotized beyond their need for power.

It is not seen that the respectable leaders of any party want to understand this unbearable reality. Leaders must understand this fact - the party will not be strong only by collecting crores of crores of money and building a luxurious building for the party. Until the theoretical foundations of the party are strengthened, there can be no change in the society.

After the formation of the coalition government, the two main slogans - the democratic socialism of the Congress and the multi-party democracy of the people of the UML - have completely disappeared from the political scene. The leaders of any party have not been conscious of ideological clarity.

The current move will not run the country. If the leaders of the established political forces like Congress, UML and Maoists do not improve their party structure, the country's politics will be stalled. If the country is to be freed from the current political chaos, then the leaders of the political parties of the country should stand in the same yard and discuss and speed up the current reforms. The government is not to panic with itself. To protect people from terror.
