China's "two national assemblies" are the Chinese National People's Congress and the Chinese Political Consultative Conference. As the National Convention of this very important body is held in the month of March every year, it is briefly called 'Two National Conventions'. The Chinese National People's Congress is the highest powerful body in China, it revises the constitution, monitors the implementation of the constitution, formulates and amends basic laws, elects members of national bodies, reviews and approves national economic and social development plans, etc. 

The Chinese Political Consultation People's Assembly is an important means and body of cooperation and political consultation between many political parties under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party. In this year's two national conventions, about 3,000 people's representatives from all over the country gathered in Beijing and deliberated on the work report of the People's Government, the Supreme Court and the Supreme Prosecution People's Court for the year 2024. The draft of the central and local budget of 2025, the draft of the national economic and social development plan, etc. were reviewed. Behind this 5 percent economic growth rate are high quality development achievements. 1.2 million new employment opportunities were created in urban and rural areas. The average income of the common people has increased by 5.1 percent. The amount of grain production has exceeded 7 billion kilograms for the first time. New energy vehicle production has exceeded 13 million per year. Energy consumption per unit of GDP has decreased by 3 percent. The Chinese government's work report for 2024 clearly states, "Intensifying friendly mutual development and benefit sharing with neighboring countries, and promoting connectivity through BRI's joint construction of high-quality, basic physical infrastructure." 

China is providing policy support for large and important projects such as Nepal's cross-border railway, cooperation in electric energy, development of clean energy, etc. In addition to this, China's expansion of high-level openness, the creation of smart customs will help Nepali specialty products to enter the Chinese market and will also help Nepal's economic and social development. 

The decisions of the two national conventions of China not only expressed China's firm determination for the overall construction of the common destiny of mankind, but also set guidelines for the development of China-Nepal relations in the new era.
