There is no doubt that education should be improved, but there is no need to get confused that students have gone abroad because the education in our country is not good. Educated youth did not migrate abroad just to get quality education. Otherwise, they would return home after completing their studies.

Youth migration has become a topic of our social debate. Some who are aspiring, they go to Europe, America, Australia to study. There are others who go to the Gulf countries especially to get a higher price for their labor than they are getting here to run the house.
There are not enough jobs in the country for the latter category of people. Farming is difficult, there is no income. It is not so certain what kind of non-agricultural employment will reach how many people in the country. But it will not reach so many young people, it does not need data.
It is impossible to say how much and for how long education itself creates employment. What is certain is that we are largely importing higher education. It is natural to look for reasons why and how this is happening. Moreover, our habits will show us the scapegoat when the problem becomes bigger. These include individuals or groups who want to open a new university or college, and especially the owners of private colleges.
It sounds like all the students who have studied from Nepal have done well in their studies. However, this also has no measurable basis. There may be some truth but many who go to study from here to there do not seem to do badly in studies although they get few jobs according to their level of education.
There are other non-scientific reasons for this. It cannot be said that it is due to lack of quality of education. In any case, the number of Nepalese students is very high in third world countries in terms of population. Nepali students are third in Australia, fourth in Japan, more than Pakistan in America.
Students are drawn from there more than from here. However, what amounts are pushed and what amounts are pulled can only be told by experience. Firstly, students from countries like Nepal are a source of income for educational institutions in those countries. This process has intensified especially after the government cuts subsidies to educational institutions as neoliberalism dominates in those countries.
It can be said that it grew with the reign of Thatcher in Britain and Reagan in America. Education fees are a source of employment and income for those countries. Indirectly, it is about establishing the dominance of those countries. A quarter to half of the income of universities in the US, Australia, UK, which are the main destinations of foreign students, comes from foreign students.
It is said that more than 10 percent of the British economy was contributed by foreign students 6-7 years ago. This trend is increasing and even if this number was not reached before the year 2000. It is natural for the number of students to decrease after increasing there.
Another fascinating aspect of that, the population structure of those countries has changed. As the population growth rate decreased, there were more elderly people. Working people are needed to run the economy. It is cheaper and easier to employ citizens of countries with lower per capita income than foreigners.
The issue of education and the supply of labor have been agreed upon for income. Without investing in lower level education, labor was supplied to the market. There was a clear correlation between UK immigration policy and student numbers in Nigeria.
After the change in visa, Nepali students have started to increase rapidly in Japan as well. There is no doubt that education should be improved, but there is no need to live in the illusion that students have gone abroad because the education in our country is not good. Educated youth who migrated abroad did not go to get quality education.
Otherwise, they would return home after completing their studies. It is possible to say that the Nepalese who go to India did not study well in Nepal. The number of Nepalis going to study in India should be 10-15 thousand which is natural. Not a score to worry about.
Our youth reading countries have historical power. They colonized the world and amassed power and prosperity. The creation of knowledge also took place in the same background. Marx saw control over the means of production and exploitation of labor in eighteenth-century Europe. Now that's global.
The country's widespread instability, frustration and corruption are also blamed for the youth exodus. This is what the rich countries of the world want. This is where they have an advantage. There are no rhinos, tigers or giraffes in the geography of rich countries! No Nile or Kilimanjaro, Sundarbans or Mount Everest. They come to visit. In the name of trade and development, they occupy the places where they get minerals or oil. Deuta also misleads that we are superior to you. And both hard and soft power dominate. Immigrants from countries like ours are more competitive than natives, more desirable, and trumps rise. It wouldn't have made much of a difference if Harris won though.
It should not be surprising if the country there expels all the immigrants who came after all these years. There is no need to be shocked that Diwali was celebrated in the White House or Dussein holidays were given in Australia. This does not mean that our education system does not need to be reformed or that our policy makers need to be corrected. Understand that more needs to be done. It is necessary to create manpower who will understand such things. Those who did not go should be told. It is not necessary to go and not go.
Colonial countries created neo-elite classes that led the colonies in their own ways, manners, and attitudes. It not only elevated the lifestyle and education of the colonial masters, but also made everything there inferior. Going to study abroad, having children in countries like America, Australia has become a matter of social prestige.
What is happening in the relationship now indicates that foreign students have gone to any college. Some of it is a product of the colonial mentality, some of it is easy to find equivalence when you finally go there with titles acquired in foreign relations. Of course, the country's 'push factor' is the fear and instability created by the Maoist conflict. This clearly motivated the middle class to accelerate that process, but that was not the only reason.
What Ekathri also says is that our middle-class society's permissive sexual outlook is also responsible for the migration of middle-class youth to study. Grown children do not get to make friends of the opposite sex in their society. The matter of sexual relations remained. But they are not ready to get married. After going there to study, those young people also get rid of that social control. To what extent this is seen and what has happened in other developing countries with different cultures is a subject of study.
