According to Home Ministry spokesperson Rama Acharya Subedi, a meeting of the Central Security Committee has been called for 5 p.m. today. It has been stated that the meeting will review the latest security situation in Sunsari, assess the post-incident circumstances, and discuss necessary security arrangements.
One person was killed in a clash between two groups on Sunday night in Kaptaanganj, Dewanganj Rural Municipality–3, Sunsari. Several civilians and security personnel were injured. Following the incident, the Sunsari District Administration Office has imposed an indefinite curfew order in some areas of Dewanganj and Harinagar rural municipalities.
The administration has urged the public to fully comply with the curfew order and not to leave their homes except for essential purposes.
