As the monsoon winds continue to affect the country, there is a possibility of rain in most places today. According to the Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure line is slightly above the average in the west and around the average in the east, so rain will occur in various parts of the country.
According to the division, it is currently generally cloudy across the country. Moderate rain is occurring in some places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
It will remain generally cloudy across the country this afternoon, while moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in many places in the hilly areas and in some places in the Terai of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and in one or two places in the Terai of Madhes and Koshi provinces, according to the division. There is also a possibility of snowfall along with rain in some places in the mountainous areas.
According to the division, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly areas of the country, the mountainous parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and one or two places in the Terai of Lumbini province.

There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and Terai of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, the hilly and Terai of Madhes and Koshi provinces as well as in some places in the hilly parts of Karnali province.
There will be rain and snowfall in some places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in some places in the mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Division has urged people to be vigilant as there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly and terai areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and in the mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces and in one or two places in the terai areas of Lumbini province.
The Division has urged people to be vigilant as the risk of flash floods, floods, landslides and soil erosion may increase due to heavy rain. This may affect daily life, agriculture, health services, tourism, mountaineering and road and air transport.
