Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal and Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav have held discussions on resolving problems seen at the local level and making coordination between the federal, provincial and local levels effective.
In the course of the discussions, employee management, matching of posts, budget formulation and other administrative challenges seen at the local level were discussed in detail. During the discussions, Chief Minister Yadav expressed his commitment to take necessary initiatives on behalf of the provincial government to resolve the problems seen at the local level.
Minister Rawal informed that the ministry has mobilized a team led by three joint secretaries to facilitate and coordinate on the ground to make the local level budget formulation process effective and systematic. He said that the team has collected on-site details about the problems, needs and challenges of the local level after discussing with the municipal mayor, deputy mayor and concerned officials.
He said that effective coordination between the federal, provincial and local levels is indispensable for resolving problems at the local level and said that the ministry will continue the necessary initiatives to make the local government more systematic, effective and citizen-oriented. The discussion was attended by the Ministry's Secretary, Joint Secretary, House of Representatives member Rahobar Ansari, and others.
