Temperatures continue to rise in the Terai, urge caution

The temperature is continuously increasing in the Terai region. The Hydrology and Meteorology Division has urged the general public in the Terai region to avoid the heat and take precautions. 

Bibhuti Pokharel, spokesperson for the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, informed that hot winds are forecast in the Terai region of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces for the next three days,  and urged caution as temperatures are also likely to increase in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. 

The department has predicted that the maximum temperature in Dhangadhi will reach 40 degrees Celsius in the coming days, while the temperature in Nepalgunj and Bhairahawa will reach 41 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in Birendranagar and Ghorahi will also increase. Spokesperson Pokharel has urged the general public in those areas to avoid going out during the day except for essential work, drink enough water and take special precautions for their health.
