The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has decided to move forward with the unification process of the National Coordination Councils (NCCs) that are divided in various countries. The 115th International Coordination Council (ICC) meeting of the association approved the unification of the NCCs of the Netherlands and Denmark and also gave conditional approval to the unification of the divided NCCs of some other countries.

The meeting held virtually on June 13 and 14 approved the unification of the NCCs in two groups of Qatar, France, Belgium, Malta, Malaysia and Thailand on the condition of paying the remaining membership fees.

The meeting has directed the NCCs of Austria, Portugal, the US, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait and South Korea to hold a unified national general convention. Various office bearers of the association have also been assigned responsibilities to facilitate the unification process in those countries.

The meeting has authorized President Hemraj Sharma to finalize the vacant International Executive Secretariat (IES) and office bearer positions within the organization. The association has stated that the chairman has decided to finalize the list within a week after consulting with the general secretary and other office bearers.

The meeting has also decided to automatically consider the posts of ICC members who do not want to continue in their posts, do not pay the levy or refuse to take the oath even after being elected as vacant and to fill such posts through nomination.

Similarly, the secretariat budget of Rs 53.7 million for the upcoming fiscal year has been passed, approving the income and expenditure details of the 12th NRN World Conference held in Kathmandu in March. The meeting has also decided to give an additional two weeks to ICC office bearers and members to pay the levy and nomination fees. It is stated that the names of office bearers and members who do not pay the fees within the stipulated time will be removed from the official website.

The meeting has approved the decision to organize the 17th European Regional Conference in Dublin, Ireland and the 11th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference in Guangzhou, China in August. In addition, the preliminary schedules of the Middle East, Oceania and Americas Regional Conferences have also been approved.

The ICC meeting has decided to appoint founding president Upendra Mahato, former president Jiva Lamichhane, outgoing presidents Badri KC and Mahesh Shrestha, and founding general secretary Bhim Udas to the Guardian Council. The meeting also decided to form a seven-member technical committee to make the election system more effective.
