The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has sought an explanation from two employees who have been absent from the office for a long time after obtaining a residence permit from a foreign country.
Two computer operators working in the ministry have been absent from the office for a long time even after completing their studies and extraordinary leave. According to the ministry, they have been found to have obtained a temporary residence permit and a permanent residence permit.
According to the ministry, as per the Civil Service Act, 2049, they have been asked to submit a clarification with satisfactory grounds and evidence within 15 days as action has to be taken against them, making them ineligible for government service in the future.
The ministry has also intensified the study and search work regarding the status of other employees who are absent from the office and living abroad and have not been contacted for a long time.
