Nepal Police has formed an investigation committee to find out the real cause of the bus accident that occurred in Namobuddha Municipality-2, Buchchakot, Kavrepalanchok on Friday.

The Police Headquarters today formed a six-member investigation committee under the coordination of Senior Superintendent of Police Kamal Thapa of Nepal Police Province Office, Kavre to investigate the accident. 

The bus (Ba 3 Kha 8398) heading from Banepa to Roshi Kharpachok lost control and fell about 300 meters off the road, killing eight passengers on board. The 16 passengers injured in the accident are being treated at Dhulikhel Hospital.

The Police Headquarters has stated that the committee should investigate the truth and facts of the incident and submit a report within seven days after identifying the real situation, cause and responsible party.

Identification of all the deceased

The District Police Office has stated that the identities of all the eight people who died in the bus accident have been revealed. 

Megh Bahadur Tamang, 73, of Roshi Rural Municipality-6, Raju Tamang, 55, and Indra Bahadur Tamang, 75, of the same place, Phulmaya Tamang, 34, of Roshi-7, Maya Tamang, 60, of the same place, Pyarimaya Tamang, 60, of Roshi-8, Amaldar Bam Bahadur Bhandari, 30, of the Nepali Army, who was a resident of Dailekh and was working in Trinetra Dal Bana Bhakundebesi, and Sumi Tamang, 22, of Ghyanglek Rural Municipality-4, Sindhuli, died at the scene, informed the District Police Office's Information Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista. 

According to him, an investigation into the accident has been initiated and necessary legal procedures have been initiated by contacting the relatives of the deceased.
