Newly appointed Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun took charge of the ministry at Singha Durbar on Tuesday. On the occasion, Minister Pun expressed his commitment to advance the development of science and technology at a rapid pace. He said, 'The work of science and technology will not be done slowly, it will be done by working day and night.'
Minister Pun mentioned that he will not stay in the post of minister for a long time. He said, 'I will not stay in this post of minister for long, even if the government is for five years, I will stay for only three years at most.'
He said that during his tenure, he will lay the foundation for science and technology and give responsibility to the new generation. Minister Pun said, 'Other ministries have their own rules, since the ministry and the minister are new, we have to start from scratch, new rules will have to be made.'
