The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred and posted 18 joint secretaries. The ministry on Friday transferred 12 Chief District Officers (CDOs) and six joint secretaries.
Joint secretaries working under the ministry or under it have been given new responsibilities (postings) as Chief District Officers in various districts, while other officers who have completed their term have been transferred from one district to another.
The ministry has posted Joint Secretary Nirajan Ghimire as Chief District Officer of Syangja, Kuman Singh Gurung as Chief District Officer of Kaski, and Laxmi Pandey Gautam as Chief District Officer of Dhading. Similarly, CDO of Syangja, Ishwori Prasad Aryal, has been transferred to Sankhuwasabha, CDO of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) Bhavishwar Pandey has been transferred to Palpa, CDO of Surkhet, Jagdishwar Upadhyay has been transferred to Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), CDO of Ramechhap, Shyam Krishna Thapa has been transferred to Saptari, CDO of Kaski, Rudradevi Sharma has been transferred to Dhankuta, and CDO of Sankhuwasabha, Sirjana Thapaliya, has been transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office, Kathmandu.
Similarly, Olkhadhunga CDO Mekh Bahadur Mangrati has been transferred to Udayapur, Saptari CDO Tubaraj Pokharel to Okhaldhunga, Dhading CDO Bijayraj Subedi to Sarlahi, Palpa CDO Binu Bajracharya to Ramechhap, Udayapur CDO Dharmaraj Joshi to Surkhet CDO and Sarlahi CDO Ramuraj Kadariya to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Ministry spokesperson Joint Secretary Ananda Kafle said that the transfer and posting of Chief District Officers is a regular administrative process. He clarified that the responsibility has been given to the Joint Secretaries transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs or under it and to fill the vacant posts in the districts and the Chief District Officers who have completed their term have been managed elsewhere.
The ministry has posted Joint Secretary Balram Niraula to the Immigration Office, Gautam Buddha International Airport, Bhairahawa. The ministry has stated that Joint Secretary Pradeep Kumar Koirala has been posted to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and Joint Secretary Krishna Poudel has been posted to the National Identity Card and Registration Department.
