The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has intensified the investigation into irregularities and irregularities in the cooperative sector. The employees who were asked for clarification include employees from branch officers to joint secretaries.
The ministry has written to the concerned individuals and directed them to submit a written reply within 7 days with reasons on whether or not they have done the work mentioned in the commission's report during their tenure. The ministry has stated that if a reply is not received within the specified period, the necessary process will be taken forward as per the prevailing law.
Formation of a committee for further study
The ministry has formed a 5-member committee under the coordination of the Chief of the Administration Division for the implementation of the commission's report and further study. The committee will have the Director of the Cooperative Regulatory Authority, the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Law Division, the Deputy Registrar of the Cooperative Department, and the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Cooperative Promotion Branch as member-secretaries.
The committee has been given the mandate to prepare immediate and long-term reform suggestions after a detailed study of the commission's report, analyze the clarifications received, assist in preparing a draft of the new Cooperative Act, and study and analyze the comment files related to cooperative organizations pointed out in the report.
