According to the labor agreement between Nepal and Israel, workers will be sent to the long-term care center through the government mechanism. According to the department, one thousand of the selected people will be sent immediately. The final selection of those who meet the qualifications will be made through a lucky draw, the department has stated. The assistant workers selected in this way will have to work in the long-term care center to care for people with serious physical and mental disabilities of any age. The contract period of the workers will be for 5 years.

The qualifications of the selected workers are specified in this. In which, the applicant must be between 25 and 45 years of age, weigh at least 45 kilograms, have passed grade 10 and completed at least 15 months of study in ANM or CMA-related subjects, or have completed grade 12 or equivalent educational qualifications and have undergone three months of training in caregiving from a training provider recognized by the Government of Nepal. It also requires a certificate of passing the English language test prescribed by Israel. Israel has designated Sin International Qualifications Pvt. Ltd. to conduct the language test.

The monthly salary of a caregiver going to Israel is 6,443 Israeli currency (about 347,000 rupees). In this, the expenses for food and accommodation will have to be borne by the worker himself. All costs of going to Israel will be borne by the worker.

Israel has started taking caregivers from Nepal for long-term care centers since August 2022. Although there was initially a limited demand for workers, the process of bringing in more Nepalis is expanding as the labor shortage in Israel increases.
