According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is currently generally cloudy in Koshi Province and the rest of the mountainous and hilly areas, partially cloudy in Madhesh Province and mainly clear in the rest of the Terai region. Moderate to heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is occurring in a few places in Ganadaki Province and one or two places in Sudurpaschim Province.
According to the department, it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces this afternoon. It will be partly cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Madhesh Province and the rest of the Terai region, while it will be mainly clear.
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain and snowfall in some places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, in a few places in the Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces including Madhesh Province, and in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Lumbini and Karnali Provinces.
There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province. There is a possibility of a hot day in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces and a heat wave in the Terai areas.
Also, it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight. It will be partly cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of the rest of the provinces, and it will be mainly clear in the rest of the Terai areas.
