The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of western and local winds. Due to this, it is currently raining in some places in Gandaki, Bagmati and Koshi provinces.

Similarly, the division has stated that there may be rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, including Madhes province, and in the Terai region of Koshi province. Caution has been urged as there is a possibility of gale force winds in the Terai regions of Madhes and Koshi provinces.
The division has also pointed out the possibility of temperature increase in some areas of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while it will be partially cloudy in the mountainous areas of Karnali province and Madhesh province. The weather will be mainly clear in the remaining hilly and Terai regions.
There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi province and one or two places of the mountainous and hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight. The division has requested all concerned to take necessary precautions as winds may blow in some places in the Terai region.
