The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has approved and issued the Pashupati Area Development Fund Employee Service, Terms and Conditions and Facilities Regulations, 2083 BS.
As per the ministerial decision, Minister Khadak Raj Poudel (GNES), who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, has revoked the old regulations of the Fund and issued the new regulations by exercising the powers granted by Section 21 of the Pashupati Area Development Fund Act, 2044 BS. Ministry spokesperson Jayanarayan Acharya informed that the post of Executive Director has been removed as per the new regulations of the Fund.
Although the Act had a provision for a member secretary in the Fund, which gave executive powers, the regulations were amended when Basanta Chaudhary was the member secretary and an executive director was provided.
After the provision of an executive director in 2060 BS, Deputy Secretary to the Government Ram Sharan Chimauria was appointed as the first executive director. After his tenure, Kosh Prasad Acharya, who retired from the post of Director General of the Department of Archaeology, was appointed as the executive director. After Acharya, the fund's director Ramesh Upreti was appointed as the executive director. After Upreti, Dr. Ghanshyam Khatiwada became the executive director. After Khatiwada, Laxmi Pun, who was appointed as the executive director, was removed from the court after a dispute.
After Pun, Subhas Chandra Joshi was appointed as the executive director. It is said that with the issuance of the fund's new regulations, Joshi was also removed while still in office. After 2060 BS, after 6 people worked as the executive director of the fund, this position has been abolished.
