The Hydrology and Meteorology Division has stated that the influence of the western low-pressure system, local air and low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere is currently continuing in the country.
According to the division, it is currently generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly parts of the country including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while it is partially cloudy in the rest of the country. Moderate rain is being experienced in some places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces and in some places in Lumbini and Gandaki provinces. Similarly, rain has continued in the Kathmandu Valley since morning.
The division has forecast that it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly parts of the country including Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces this afternoon and partially cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi Province, some places in the mountainous and hilly parts of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly parts, and one or two places in the Terai parts of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces.
Similarly, it is stated that tonight it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and the mountainous parts of the country and it will be partially cloudy in the remaining parts. The division has stated that moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning is possible in some places in Koshi and Madhes Provinces, the mountainous and hilly parts of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and one or two places in the mountainous part of Karnali Province.
