Two employees of a college in Kathmandu have been arrested for leaking question papers ahead of the Class 12 Management and Science Faculty exams conducted by the National Examination Board. They were arrested after their involvement was confirmed by an investigation conducted by the Cyber Bureau immediately after the information about the question paper being leaked. According to the Bureau's SP Dilip Kumar Giri, Nirajan Shahi, 37, of Suvidhanagar, Kathmandu-32, and Prem Kumar Shrestha, 30, of Kapan, Kathmandu-10, were arrested after initial investigation showed that they were involved. According to the police, Shahi is the counseling officer of the college while Shrestha is the IT officer. The police have not made the name of the college public. Shrestha was responsible for printing the question papers that were received shortly before the exam. However, he had taken them out and given them to Shahi. According to the police, initial investigation revealed that he had posted the question paper with the answers in the student's WhatsApp group. "Some things have been confirmed in the initial investigation, further statements will be taken now," said SP Giri, "We have received permission from the court to keep him in custody for 4 days for detailed investigation. We are still investigating which subject question papers were leaked."
