RSP President Ravi Lamichhane has made a statement targeting Acting Chief Justice Sapna Pradhan Malla, saying that his neck is in the Supreme Court. He made the statement referring to the statement made by Acting Chief Justice Malla at the Law Day program on Saturday. ‘What is the benefit of making a lot of fuss and giving challenging statements? I am here. My neck is there. I request you to use your weapons,’ Lamichhane said. ‘We may have also fallen into injustice. We may have wanted to scream and scream and get justice. But we are saying that we have hope and trust in the court.’ He urged the esteemed court not to comment on this, saying that victims all over the world say, ‘I will show you in court.’
Addressing the closing ceremony of the training program of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) MPs held in Lalitpur on Sunday, Lamichhane claimed that out of the six candidates, one qualified person was selected as the Chief Justice within the powers granted by the constitution.  "That's what the constitution says, 'They are selected based on merit,'" he said. "There is a saying that tradition has been broken. If that tradition was to be followed, why would the current government be necessary?" he said, adding that he did not believe in the division of power and claimed that one was selected based on the list of judges.
