In the past 24 hours, 2,105 drivers have been booked for violating traffic rules. This has earned the state treasury Rs 2.66 million in revenue.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 99 people have been booked for consuming intoxicants, 193 for illegally sharing rides, 133 for violating traffic signals, and 139 for speeding.

Similarly, 132 people have been booked for not following lane discipline, 79 for honking in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on roadsides, 79 for driving on one-way streets, and 1,164 for not following other traffic rules.
