The Ministry Restructuring Committee formed by Prime Minister Shah has proposed to abolish four ministries and merge six to form a new ministry. According to the report prepared by the committee, the Ministry of General Administration has been asked to be placed in the Prime Minister's Office. Sasmit Pokharel is the government spokesperson and in addition to Education, Science and Technology, he is in charge of the Youth and Sports Ministry. Geeta Chaudhary is the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development and Forest and Environment, and Sobita Gautam is the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
