36 officials from nine different bodies under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology have been relieved of their duties.
According to a press release issued by the ministry on Tuesday, after the Special Provisions on the Dismissal of Public Officials Ordinance, 2083 came into effect, the officials of various institutions, boards, authorities, commissions and committees under the ministry have been automatically relieved of their duties.
The ministry has stated that the chairmen, members and executive officers working in those bodies have been relieved of their duties in accordance with Sub-section (1) of Section (2) of the Ordinance.
According to a press release issued by the ministry, Gorkhapatra Sansthan Chairman Govinda Prasad Bhandari has been relieved of his duties. Similarly, Press Council Nepal Chairman Kumar Sharma Acharya and members Padmaraj Joshi, Bhimlal Shrestha, Shantaram Bidari, Kumari Nima Kafle, Ram Prasad Dahal, Vijayraj Adhikari, Balkrishna Adhikari, Keshav Sharan Lamichhane and Nakul Aryal have been relieved of their duties.
Similarly, Nepal Telecommunication Authority Chairman Bhupendra Bhandari and members Krishna Prasad Pokharel, Nawaraj Adhikari, Rabindra Jha and Gokarna Prasad Sitaula have been relieved of their posts.
Advertisement Board Chairman Laxman Humagain and members Pawan Adhikari, Prem Bahadur Bhattarai and Mohan Gurung have also been relieved of their posts.
Security Printing Center Member Aditya Neupane and Executive Director Devraj Dhungana have also been relieved of their posts.
Public Service Broadcasting Nepal Chairman Dr Mahendra Bista and members Anita Gurung, Phulman Bal and Bhumiraj Chapagain have been relieved of their posts.
Similarly, National Information Commission Chief Information Commissioner Suresh Prasad Acharya and Information Commissioners Durga Bhandari Poudel and Gagan Bista have also been relieved of their posts.
The ministry has stated that members of the Film Censorship Committee, Sampan Shrestha, Kuberraj Giri and Bhagwati Kumari Mainali Upreti (BHIMA), chairperson of the Minimum Wage Determination Committee, Sangita Khadka, and members Navinraj Kuinkel, Vasudev Mishra and Jamuna Sharma have also been relieved of their posts.
