193 officials of the Ministry of Health dismissed

A statement issued by the ministry's joint spokesperson, Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, on Tuesday stated that 193 officials of the ministry have been relieved of their duties in accordance with Sub-section (1) of Section (2) of the Ordinance, 2083, made to make special provisions regarding the dismissal of public officials.

One hundred and ninety-three officials have been relieved of their posts under the Ministry of Health and Population. 

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the ministry's joint spokesperson Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, 193 officials of the ministry have been relieved of their posts in accordance with Sub-section (1) of Section (2) of the Ordinance to Make Special Provisions Regarding the Dismissal of Public Officials, 2083, it was stated.

According to him, the process of sending letters informing the dismissed officials of their posts has begun. 'As per the ordinance, those officials under the institutes, committees and boards under the ministry have been relieved of their posts. We are writing to the dismissed officials,' he said. 

The National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Patan Academy of Health Sciences, BP Koirala Academy of Health Sciences, Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Health Insurance Board, Nepal Health Research Council, Nepal Medical Council, Nepal Health Professionals Council and other bodies are there. 

Joint spokesperson Dr. Adhikari mentioned that the officials have been relieved of their posts since the day the ordinance was issued. 

President Ram Chandra Poudel issued the Ordinance, 2083, on April 19, to make special provisions regarding the removal of public officials.
